# CreateBillOfMaterialsItem

> Creates a new bill of materials item for a bill of materials operation.

## Arguments

**`request`**: `CreateBillOfMaterialsItemCommandRequestInput!` (required)

## Returns

`CreateBillOfMaterialsItemCommandResponse!`

**`id`**: `ID!`

The ID of the newly created bill of materials item.
