# CreateProductionItem

> Creates a new production item, including its bills of materials with their components.



**mutation** `CreateProductionItem(request: CreateProductionItemCommandRequestInput!): CreateProductionItemCommandResponse!`

## Arguments

**`request`**: `CreateProductionItemCommandRequestInput!` (required)

## Returns

`CreateProductionItemCommandResponse!`

The ID of the newly created production item.
