# CreatePurchaseOrder

> Creates a new purchase order with item positions.

If a request with this mutation's Idempotency-Key was already completed, the response's `extensions` contains an `idempotency.{responseName}` entry with `wasReplayed: true`.



**mutation** `CreatePurchaseOrder(request: CreatePurchaseOrderCommandRequestInput!): CreatePurchaseOrderCommandResponse!`

## Arguments

**`request`**: `CreatePurchaseOrderCommandRequestInput!` (required)

## Returns

`CreatePurchaseOrderCommandResponse!`

**`purchaseOrderId`**: `ID!`

Unique ID of the newly created purchase order.
