# PurchaseOrderLineItemType

> Kind of a purchase-order line item. Only FreePosition and Item appear in lineItems; ShippingSurcharge, Discount and SmallQuantitySurcharge are excluded and appear under allowancesAndCharges instead. The create path only ever produces Item positions.



**Kind**: `enum`

## Values

**`FREE_POSITION`** — A free-text position without a linked article (e.g. freight costs entered by hand).

**`ITEM`** — An ordered article — the regular case, and the only kind the create path produces.

**`SHIPPING_SURCHARGE`** — A shipping surcharge. No longer appears in lineItems — see allowancesAndCharges.FreightCharge.

**`DISCOUNT`** — A discount. No longer appears in lineItems — see allowancesAndCharges.Discount.

**`SMALL_QUANTITY_SURCHARGE`** — A small-quantity surcharge. No longer appears in lineItems — see allowancesAndCharges.MinimumQuantitySurcharge.
