# CreateOutputTemplateCommandRequestInput

> Creates a template in a template set. The channels and the assignment criteria must be those of the document type of the set; a layout is added with the upload of a layout, or the template is created by 'CopyOutputTemplate' or by an import. Errors: 400 VALIDATION_FAILED; 404 TEMPLATE_SET_NOT_FOUND; 409 TEMPLATE_NAME_DUPLICATE; 422 OUTPUT_CHANNEL_NOT_AVAILABLE (the document type does not offer a channel), OUTPUT_ASSIGNMENT_CRITERION_NOT_AVAILABLE (the document type does not offer a criterion), OUTPUT_ASSIGNMENT_VALUE_NOT_FOUND (a value is not one the value source lists). ## Fields

**`templateSetId`**: `ID!` (required)

The template set the template is created in.

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The name of the template.

---

**`channels`**: `[String]!` (required)

The channels the template delivers its document by. Known values: PRINT, FAX, SAVE, MAIL, EXPORT, LABEL. At least one.

**`assignments`**: `[OutputTemplateAssignmentInput]!` (required)

The assignments of the template, at most one per criterion. Empty: the template applies to everything.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
