# MakePaymentMethodDefaultCommandRequestInput

> Makes a payment method the one used when a customer has none. The method that was the default stops being it. Making the default one the default does nothing and answers 204. - Request

## Fields

**`paymentMethodId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the payment method.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
