# NewSettingValueInput

> The new value of a setting, for writing, in REST and GraphQL alike. Exactly one field is set, the one that matches the type of the setting; none or several is rejected with SettingValueInvalid, a field of another type with SettingValueTypeMismatch. Reading uses SettingValue.

## Fields

**`booleanValue`**: `Boolean`

For a setting of the type Boolean: true or false.

**`integerValue`**: `Long`

For a setting of the type Integer: the number.

---

**`decimalValue`**: `Decimal`

For a setting of the type Decimal: the number.

---

**`textValue`**: `String`

For a setting of the type Text: the text.

---

**`dateTimeValue`**: `DateTime`

For a setting of the type DateTime: the point in time.

---

**`choiceKey`**: `String`

For a setting of the type Choice: the key of the chosen option.

---

**`multiChoice`**: `ChoiceKeyListInput`

For a setting of the type MultiChoice: the chosen options. A list with no key chooses none. Wrapped in an object so the field can be left out (a bare list would be required in GraphQL).

**`secretValue`**: `String`

For a setting of the type Secret: the new secret. It is never returned.
