# Payment

> Represents a payment for a sales order, sales invoice

## Fields

**`id`**: `ID!`

The unique identifier of the payment.

**`externalTransactionId`**: `String`

The external transaction id of the payment, if any. Returned as the raw column value with no server-side normalization: for JTL-Shop-synced orders this is not a uniform transaction id but the free-text payment note written by the shop sync (may be a full sentence), and an empty string is returned unchanged rather than as null.

**`salesOrderId`**: `ID`

The ID of the sales order this payment is associated with, or NULL if this payment is not associated with a sales order. However, only the 'SalesInvoiceId' field determines whether the payment is associated with a sales order or a sales invoice.

**`salesInvoiceId`**: `ID`

The ID of the sales invoice this payment is associated with, or NULL if this payment is not associated with a sales invoice.
