# Permission

> A permission of Wawi. Permissions form a tree and are the same in all tenants.



**Kind**: `object`

## Fields

**`id`**: `ID!`

The fixed ID of the permission. It is the same on every installation and is never reused.

**`parentId`**: `ID`

The ID of the parent permission in the tree. Null for the top entries.

**`sortOrder`**: `Int!`

The position among the permissions with the same parent, lowest first.

---

**`name`**: `String!`

Display name in the language of the request.

---

**`isGrantable`**: `Boolean!`

Whether it can be given to a group. False for entries that only group others.

---

**`description`**: `String`

Explains the permission, in the language of the request. Null if not set.
