# SalesSubscriptionLineItemKind

> The kind of a line item. A client treats a value it does not know as 'Other'.



**Kind**: `enum`

## Values

**`ITEM`** — An item from the catalog, billed in every period of its schedule.

**`CUSTOM`** — A free line without an item, billed in every period of its schedule.

**`VOUCHER`** — A voucher sold in every period of its schedule.

**`CHARGE`** — A charge such as shipping or a fee. It has no schedule and is part of every follow-up sales order.

**`DISCOUNT`** — A discount such as a coupon. It has no schedule and is part of every follow-up sales order.

**`OTHER`** — A line item that cannot be written through the API, for example a carton. It is not part of follow-up sales orders.
