# AddKitComponentCommandRequestInput

> Adds a component to a kit. A component item is part of a kit at most once. - Request

## Fields

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item.

**`componentItemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the component item. It has to be active and no kit and no variation parent (a kit does not contain a kit, and a variation parent is not sold itself). A combination of a variation parent is allowed.

**`quantity`**: `Decimal!` (required)

How many units of the component one unit of the kit consumes. Greater than zero.

**`comment`**: `String`

Free-text comment on the component.

**`disableAutomaticWorkflows`**: `Boolean`

Suppresses the automatic workflow triggers of this call. Defaults to false when omitted.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
