# AddResourceToResourceGroupCommandRequestInput

> Assigns a resource to a resource group. The resource must belong to the resource category of the resource group. Errors: RESOURCE_GROUP_NOT_FOUND (the resource group was not found); RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND (the resource was not found); RESOURCE_CATEGORY_MISMATCH (the resource belongs to another resource category than the resource group); RESOURCE_GROUP_RESOURCE_ALREADY_ASSIGNED (the resource is already assigned to the resource group). - Request

## Fields

**`resourceGroupId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the resource group.

**`resourceId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the resource to assign.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
