# CreateItemPackagingCommandRequestInput

> Adds a packaging to an item. - Request

## Fields

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item.

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

Name of the packaging.

---

**`isComposite`**: `Boolean!` (required)

Whether the packaging is a composite of several materials.

**`categoryId`**: `ID`

The packaging category.

---

**`recyclingClassId`**: `ID`

The recycling class.

---

**`materials`**: `[NewItemPackagingMaterialInput]!` (required)

The materials, replaced as a whole. At least one.

---

**`disableAutomaticWorkflows`**: `Boolean`

Suppresses the automatic workflow triggers of this call. Defaults to false when omitted.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
