# CreateMeasurementUnitCommandRequestInput

> Creates a measurement unit with its display code and names. Without 'conversion' it becomes a base unit with a family of its own; with 'conversion' it joins the family of the given base unit. The conversion cannot be changed afterwards. The names must include the default language of Wawi. - Request

## Fields

**`displayCode`**: `String!` (required)

The short form shown next to quantities, 1 to 255 characters, for example 'kg'.

**`translations`**: `[MeasurementUnitTranslationInput]!` (required)

The names, one per language, the default language included.

**`unitCode`**: `String`

The UN/CEFACT unit code for e-invoices, 2 or 3 letters or digits, for example 'KGM'. Omitted means none.

**`conversion`**: `MeasurementUnitConversionInput`

How the new unit converts to a base unit. Omitted means the new unit is a base unit.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
