# CreateOperationCommandRequestInput

> Creates an operation together with its steps. Further steps are added with the commands for operation steps. Errors: the request is invalid; OperationNumberAlreadyExists (another operation already has this operation number); DuplicateOperationStepTextLanguage (more than one text was sent for the same language of a step); OperationStepDefaultTextRequired (no text was sent for the default language of a step). - Request

## Fields

**`operationNumber`**: `String!` (required)

The number of the operation. Must be unique across all operations and must not consist of white space only.

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The name of the operation. Must not consist of white space only.

---

**`description`**: `String`

The description of the operation. When omitted or when it consists of white space only, the operation has no description.

---

**`isActive`**: `Boolean`

Indicates whether the operation is active. When omitted, the operation is active.

---

**`isCompletionMandatory`**: `Boolean`

Indicates whether the operation must be completed explicitly during production. When omitted, false is used.

---

**`simplifiedProduction`**: `OperationSimplifiedProduction`

Indicates whether and for whom the operation allows simplified production. When omitted, No is used.

---

**`steps`**: `[OperationStepInput]!` (required)

The steps of the new operation. Their order in the list becomes their order within the operation. At least one step is required.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
