# CreatePaymentAccountCommandRequestInput

> Creates an external payment account. An external account has no bank or provider behind it: an integration delivers its transactions with 'ImportPaymentTransaction'. Accounts of banks and payment providers need credentials and confirmations and are set up in the desktop client. Errors: PAYMENT_METHOD_NOT_FOUND (the payment method was not found); IBAN_INVALID (the IBAN is not valid). - Request

## Fields

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The display name of the account.

**`description`**: `String`

A description of the account.

---

**`iban`**: `String`

The IBAN, when the external account stands for a bank account.

---

**`bic`**: `String`

The BIC.

---

**`holder`**: `String`

The holder of the account.

---

**`transferPaymentMethodId`**: `ID`

The payment method of the payments recorded when a transaction is assigned.

**`directDebitPaymentMethodId`**: `ID`

The payment method for direct debits.

---

**`chargebackPaymentMethodId`**: `ID`

The payment method for chargebacks and refunds.

---

**`disableAutomaticWorkflows`**: `Boolean`

Whether to suppress the automatic workflows this call would start. Events for other systems are still published. Defaults to false when omitted.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
