# CreateResourceTypeCommandRequestInput

> Creates a resource type. Errors: the request is invalid; RESOURCE_CATEGORY_NOT_FOUND (the resource category was not found). - Request

## Fields

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The name of the new resource type.

**`categoryId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the resource category the new resource type belongs to. It cannot be changed later.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
