# DeleteCharacteristicValueCommandRequestInput

> Deletes a characteristic value together with its texts and image. A value that is still assigned to items is refused (error code CHARACTERISTIC_VALUE_IS_IN_USE, the blockers name the number of items) unless 'removeItemAssignments' is true: then the value is taken away from all items first. Online shops that received the characteristic receive it again without the value. Errors: CHARACTERISTIC_NOT_FOUND (no characteristic has this ID); CHARACTERISTIC_VALUE_NOT_FOUND (the characteristic has no value with this ID); CHARACTERISTIC_VALUE_IS_IN_USE (items still have the value and 'removeItemAssignments' is not true). - Request

**`characteristicId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the characteristic.

**`characteristicValueId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the characteristic value.

**`removeItemAssignments`**: `Boolean`

True takes the value away from all items that have it and then deletes it. Omitted or false refuses to delete a value that is in use.
