# DeleteItemCommandRequestInput

> Deletes an item permanently, with its sub-resources, if it may be deleted. Otherwise it refuses and deletes nothing: an item that is still needed (it is part of a fulfillment network, on an open picklist or in a stocktaking, has active eBay listings, is a production item or component, is a combination, has stock, is a component of a kit or is on an open purchase order) is answered with 409 and all blockers. Ask 'GetItemAllowedActions' beforehand. There is no soft delete and no list of deleted items: a deleted item is gone and cannot be restored. Order lines and returns that refer to the item become free-text lines. - Request
