# DuplicateItemCommandResponse

> Creates a new item as a copy of an existing one. The copy has the same kind. The new item number is required; which parts and sub-resources are taken over is chosen per part, parts that are omitted are taken over. The categories are always taken over unless others are named, because the copy is never a combination of a variation parent, not even when the original is one, and so always needs a category. - Response
