# File

> An uploaded file or image, found by its blob identifier.



**Kind**: `object`

## Fields

**`blobIdentifier`**: `UUID!`

The public ID of the file, chosen by the client at the upload.

**`state`**: `String!`

The state: PROCESSING, AVAILABLE or FAILED. Clients must accept values they do not know.

---

**`sizeInBytes`**: `Long`

The size of the file in bytes. Empty if unknown.

---

**`isInUse`**: `Boolean!`

Whether a business object uses the file. A file in use cannot be deleted.

**`fileName`**: `String!`

The file name given at the upload.

---

**`downloadUrlExpiresAt`**: `DateTime`

When the download URL expires. Empty if there is no download URL.

---

**`downloadUrl`**: `String`

A short-lived URL to download the file, set only in the state AVAILABLE. Do not store it.

---

**`createdAt`**: `DateTime!`

When the file was uploaded.

---

**`contentType`**: `String`

The content type of the file. Empty if unknown.
