# KitItem

> A bill of materials sold as a set of components. A kit has no stock management and no purchasing of its own: it inherits its stock behavior from its components, which the read-only property shows. There are no suppliers to maintain.

**`id`**: `ID!`

The ID of the item.

**`name`**: `String!`

Name of the item in the default language.

---

**`isActive`**: `Boolean!`

Whether the item is active. An inactive item cannot be sold or used as a kit component.

**`productGroupId`**: `ID`

The ID of the product group.

---

**`manufacturerId`**: `ID`

The ID of the manufacturer.

---

**`conditionId`**: `ID`

The ID of the item condition, for example new or used.

---

**`deliveryStatusId`**: `ID`

The ID of the delivery status of the item (the master data of delivery statuses, for example "in stock" or "ships in 3 days").

**`variationParentId`**: `ID`

The variation parent this item is a combination of. Absent when the item is no combination. Read-only for every kind of item: the assignment is maintained at the parent only (items/variation-parents/{itemId}/combinations).

**`traits`**: `[ItemType!]!`

Every trait that applies to the item, ordered by rank, the first being the kind in 'itemType'. The kind is the first rule that applies; the others would otherwise be lost (a stock-managed variation parent is a VariationParent with the trait StockItem, a stock-managed kit made of divisible parts is a Kit with the trait DivisibleStockItem). Only the fields of the kind are part of the model; sub-resources are offered by the kind. Clients must tolerate values they do not know.

When the item was last changed.

**`itemType`**: `ItemType!`

Discriminator of the item kind.

**`identifiers`**: `TradeItemIdentifiers!`

The identifiers of the item, each in its own property.

**`taxClassId`**: `ID`

The ID of the tax class.

---

**`shippingClassId`**: `ID`

The ID of the shipping class.

---

**`dimensions`**: `ItemDimensions`

Outer dimensions as shipped. Absent when none are maintained.

**`weights`**: `ItemWeights`

Weights. Absent when none are maintained.

---

**`customs`**: `ItemCustoms`

Customs information. Absent when none is maintained.

---

**`units`**: `ItemUnits`

Sales unit, packaging unit and content with its base price. Absent when none is maintained.

---

**`components`**: `[KitComponent!]!`

The components of the kit. A kit has at least one; removing the last one dissolves the kit. The stock behavior of the kit is that of these components.

**`stockManagement`**: `StockManagement`

Inherited from the components and read-only: it is never written for a kit. Absent when no component is stock-managed.
