# MakeTaxClassDefaultCommandRequestInput

> Makes a tax class the default tax class; the former default tax class stays as it is otherwise. Line items without a tax class of their own, for example of items without one, are taxed with the default tax class, so the change affects every sale of them from now on. Making the default tax class the default again changes nothing and succeeds. - Request

## Fields

**`taxClassId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the tax class.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
