# MoveBillOfMaterialsParentComponentCommandRequestInput

> Moves a parent component of a bill of materials to another position within the bill of materials. Errors: the request is invalid; BillOfMaterialsComponentNotFound (the parent component was not found); BillOfMaterialsReadOnly (the bill of materials cannot be changed). - Request

## Fields

**`billOfMaterialsParentComponentId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the parent component to move.

**`sortIndex`**: `Int!` (required)

The new position of the parent component within the bill of materials.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
