# NewKitComponentInput

> A component to add to a kit. The position follows from the order of the list or is appended.



**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`componentItemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the component item. It has to be active and no kit and no variation parent (a kit does not contain a kit, and a variation parent is not sold itself). A combination of a variation parent is allowed.

**`quantity`**: `Decimal!` (required)

How many units of the component one unit of the kit consumes. Greater than zero.

---

**`comment`**: `String`

Free-text comment on the component.
