# PaymentDirection

> Whether money came in or went out, for a payment and for a payment transaction. Follows from the sign of the amount. A closed set: money either comes in or goes out.



**Kind**: `enum`

## Values

**`INCOMING`** — Money received, usually from the customer; the amount is positive.

**`OUTGOING`** — Money paid out, for example back to the customer (a payout), or taken back; the amount is negative.
