# PurchaseOrderItemLineCreationInput

> A new line with an item.



**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`clientId`**: `String`

A temporary identifier chosen by the client, for example to match the answer to an optimistic update. It is not stored and is returned unchanged.

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item: an active item that is no variation parent and no bill of materials (order its components instead).

**`quantity`**: `Decimal!` (required)

The quantity to order, 0 or more. Like the purchase order dialog, the ERP raises it to the supplier's minimum order quantity, rounds it to whole units for an item that is not divisible and up to the supplier's order interval.

**`netUnitPrice`**: `Decimal`

The net price per unit in the order currency; it may be negative. When omitted, the supplier's price for the item and quantity is used, including its scale prices.

**`taxRate`**: `Decimal`

The tax rate in percent, 0 to 100. When omitted, the supplier's rate for the item is used, 0 for a supplier exempt from tax.

**`supplierSku`**: `String`

The supplier's number for the item. When omitted, the one of the supplier item is used. It must not contain control characters.

**`packagingQuantity`**: `Decimal`

How many units the supplier's packaging unit holds. When omitted, taken from the supplier item.

**`expectedDeliveryDate`**: `DateTime`

When the line is expected. When omitted: today plus the delivery time of the supplier item or of the supplier.

**`note`**: `String`

A note on the line. It must not contain control characters.

---

**`assignItemToSupplier`**: `Boolean`

Whether to assign the item to the supplier when it is not assigned yet, with this price and supplier number, as the dialog's "assign items automatically" does. Defaults to false: an item the supplier does not deliver is refused.
