# PutCharacteristicNameCommandRequestInput

> Sets the name of a characteristic in one language and replaces the name of that language. Errors: CHARACTERISTIC_NOT_FOUND (no characteristic has this ID); CHARACTERISTIC_NAME_REQUIRED (the name is empty), CHARACTERISTIC_LANGUAGE_NOT_FOUND (the language is unknown or not active); CHARACTERISTIC_NAME_ALREADY_EXISTS (another characteristic has this name in the default language). - Request

## Fields

**`characteristicId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the characteristic.

**`languageTag`**: `String!` (required)

The language as BCP 47 language tag, for example 'de' or 'de-AT'. Language subtag in lower case, region subtag in upper case; the input is not case-sensitive. It must be a language Wawi is set up for (error code CHARACTERISTIC_LANGUAGE_NOT_FOUND).

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The name in this language, at most 255 characters, not empty.
