# RenameAttributeGroupCommandRequestInput

> Renames a group of an entity type. All attributes and function attributes of the group move to the new name in one step. To move a single attribute into another group use 'groupName' of 'UpdateMultilingualAttribute' or 'UpdateFunctionAttribute'. Errors: errorCode is ATTRIBUTE_GROUP_NOT_FOUND (the entity type has no group with this name), ATTRIBUTE_GROUP_NAME_INVALID (the new name is empty, longer than 150 characters or contains '#'), ATTRIBUTE_GROUP_NAME_ALREADY_EXISTS (the entity type already has another group with the new name, regardless of upper and lower case), ATTRIBUTE_GROUP_CONTAINS_SYSTEM_ATTRIBUTE (the group contains a system attribute). - Request

**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`entityType`**: `String!` (required)

The kind of record whose group is renamed. Groups of different entity types are independent. Known values: ITEM, CATEGORY. The set can grow; a client must tolerate values it does not know.

---

**`groupName`**: `String!` (required)

The current name of the group. Upper and lower case are ignored.

---

**`newGroupName`**: `String!` (required)

The new name of the group. It must not contain the character '#'.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
