# ReplaceSettingValueCommandRequestInput

> Sets the value of one setting and returns the entry as it is now. The type of the value must be the type of the setting. Fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is SettingPermissionDenied, SettingNotFound, SettingReadOnly, SettingValueInvalid (also when not exactly one field of the value is set), SettingValueTypeMismatch or SettingScopeNotSupported, and extensions.settingKey names the setting. - Request

## Fields

**`settingKey`**: `String!` (required)

The key of the setting. Dotted camelCase segments (pattern ^[a-z][a-zA-Z0-9]*(\.[a-z][a-zA-Z0-9]*)*$), at most 200 characters.

**`scope`**: `SettingsScope`

For whom the value applies. Defaults to Global.

**`userId`**: `ID`

For the scopes User and Workstation: the user. Defaults to the calling user.

---

**`workstation`**: `String`

For the scope Workstation: the name of the workstation. Defaults to the calling workstation.

---

**`value`**: `NewSettingValueInput!` (required)

The new value. This is the whole body in REST.
