# RequestFileUploadCommandRequestInput

> Announces a file and returns a short-lived URL to upload its bytes to (step 1 of the upload). - Request

## Fields

**`blobIdentifier`**: `UUID!` (required)

The public ID of the new file, chosen by the client. Not empty and not used by a file that has bytes already.

**`destinationTypeKey`**: `String!` (required)

The key of the destination type, see 'QueryFileDestinationTypes'.

**`sizeInBytes`**: `Long!` (required)

The size of the file in bytes, at most the limit of the destination type.

**`fileName`**: `String!` (required)

The file name, 1 to 255 characters.

**`contentType`**: `String!` (required)

The content type of the file, for example image/png.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
