# SalesOrderChargeLineItemInput

> A new charge such as shipping, a payment fee or gift wrap.



**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`taxClassId`**: `ID`

The tax class. Defaults to the default tax class; fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is TaxClassNotFound.

**`itemId`**: `ID`

The item the charge comes from, if any. Fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is ItemNotFound or SalesLineItemItemInactive.

**`sortOrder`**: `Int`

The position of the line item. Defaults to the end.

**`salesPriceNet`**: `Decimal!` (required)

The net price per unit.

---

**`quantity`**: `Decimal`

The quantity. Defaults to 1.

**`note`**: `String`

A note on the line item.

---

**`name`**: `String!` (required)

The name printed on the document.

---

**`chargeType`**: `String!` (required)

The type of the charge. Known values: SHIPPING, SHIPPING_SURCHARGE, SHIPPING_SURCHARGE_ITEM, PAYMENT_FEE, CASH_ON_DELIVERY_FEE, GIFT_WRAP, INTEREST, HANDLING_FEE, TRUSTED_SHOPS, RETURN_DELIVERY, FREE_GIFT. The type of a charge line item.
