# SalesOrderDiscountLineItemUpdateInput

> Updates to a discount line item; only the fields that are sent change. The discount type cannot be changed.

## Fields

**`sortOrder`**: `Int`

The position of the line item. Null fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is LineItemSortOrderRequired.

**`note`**: `String`

A note on the line item. Null clears it.

**`name`**: `String`

The name printed on the document. Null fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is LineItemNameRequired.

**`amount`**: `Decimal`

The amount of the discount; greater than 0. Null or 0 or less fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is LineItemAmountNotPositive.
