# SalesOrderItemLineItemInput

> A new line item for an item of the catalog. The item must be active.



**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item. Fails with ItemNotFound, SalesLineItemItemInactive or SalesLineItemItemIsVariationParent.

**`variations`**: `[SalesOrderLineItemVariationInput]!` (required)

The variation values of the item. Fails with VariationNotFound, VariationValueNotFound or VariationValueRequired.

**`sortOrder`**: `Int`

The position of the line item. Defaults to the end.

---

**`salesUnit`**: `String`

The unit the quantity is sold in. Defaults to the unit of the item.

---

**`salesPriceNet`**: `Decimal`

The net price per unit. Defaults to the price of the item for the customer.

**`quantity`**: `Decimal!` (required)

The quantity; greater than 0. Fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is LineItemQuantityNotPositive.

**`note`**: `String`

A note on the line item.

---

**`name`**: `String`

The name printed on the document. Defaults to the name of the item.

**`discountPercent`**: `Decimal`

The discount in percent, at most 100. Fails with a GraphQL error whose extensions.code is LineItemDiscountPercentAboveMaximum.
