# SerialNumberTrackingType

> At which point of the goods flow serial numbers are captured. An item that does not track serial numbers has no serial tracking at all instead of a 'none' value. This is a closed set: a new value is a new variant and a breaking change.

## Values

**`OUTBOUND_ONLY`** — Serial numbers are captured on goods issue only.

**`INBOUND_AND_OUTBOUND`** — Serial numbers are captured on goods receipt and on goods issue.

**`EVERY_MOVEMENT`** — Serial numbers are captured on every warehouse movement.
