# SettingsNodeKind

> The kind of a node in the settings tree.



**Kind**: `enum`

## Values

**`GROUP`** — A group that holds other nodes: a navigation entry, a page, a section.

**`TEXT_BLOCK`** — A text for the user: a heading, a paragraph, an info or a warning.

**`LINK`** — A link to a help page or another website.

**`BUTTON`** — A button that runs an action, for example testing a connection.

**`CHECKBOX`** — A yes or no setting.

**`CHECKBOX_GROUP`** — A setting with several choices that can be selected together.

**`RADIO_GROUP`** — A setting with one choice out of a few, all shown at once.

**`DROPDOWN`** — A setting with one choice out of a list.

**`TEXT_INPUT`** — A text setting such as a name, an e-mail address, a URL, a path or a password.

**`INTEGER_INPUT`** — A whole number setting.

**`DECIMAL_INPUT`** — A decimal number setting.

**`DATE_TIME_INPUT`** — A date, a time or a date and time setting.

**`CUSTOM`** — A page or section that brings its own frontend and its own API.
