# StockTrackingKind

> How the individual units of a stock item are traced. The kinds exclude each other. This is a closed set: a new value is a new variant and a breaking change.



**Kind**: `enum`

## Values

**`UNTRACKED`** — Units are not traced individually.

**`LOT`** — Units are traced by batch and / or shelf life expiration date.

**`SERIAL`** — Every unit carries its own serial number.
