# UpdateCharacteristicGroupCommandRequestInput

> Renames a characteristic group. Errors: CHARACTERISTIC_GROUP_NOT_FOUND (no group has this ID), CHARACTERISTIC_GROUP_NAME_REQUIRED, CHARACTERISTIC_GROUP_NAME_ALREADY_EXISTS as for 'CreateCharacteristicGroup'. - Request

**`characteristicGroupId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the group to change.

The new name of the group.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
