# UpdateCurrencyCommandRequestInput

> Changes how a currency is named and written. Only the properties that are sent change. The code and the exchange rate cannot be changed here: the code never changes after creation, the exchange rate has its own commands ('SetCurrencyExchangeRate', 'RefreshCurrencyExchangeRates'). - Request

**Kind**: `input`

## Fields

**`currencyCode`**: `String!` (required)

The currency code. A standard currency uses its ISO 4217 alpha-3 code in capitals ('EUR'); a currency defined by the tenant uses a code with the prefix 'x-' in lower case ('x-loyalty'). Requests are matched ignoring case, responses always carry the canonical spelling.

---

**`name`**: `String`

The new display name, 1 to 20 characters.

---

**`symbol`**: `String`

The new currency symbol as plain text, 1 to 255 characters.

---

**`symbolPlacement`**: `CurrencySymbolPlacement`

The new placement of the symbol.

---

**`decimalSeparator`**: `String`

The new decimal separator, exactly one character.

---

**`thousandsSeparator`**: `String`

The new thousands separator, at most one character. An empty text removes it.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
