# UpdateItemFreeTextVariationCommandRequestInput

> Changes a free-text variation. Every field is optional; a field that is omitted stays as it is. An inherited one is changed at the variation parent. - Request

## Fields

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item.

**`freeTextVariationId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the free-text variation.

**`name`**: `String`

Display name in the default language.

---

**`names`**: `[LocalizedTextInput]`

The label per language, replaced as a whole.

**`isRequired`**: `Boolean`

Whether the customer has to enter a text.

---

**`position`**: `Int`

Zero-based position among the variations of the item.

---

**`disableAutomaticWorkflows`**: `Boolean`

Suppresses the automatic workflow triggers of this call. Defaults to false when omitted.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
