# UpdateItemStandardGrossPriceCommandRequestInput

> Sets the standard sales price of an item from a gross price. The net price is calculated as gross price divided by (1 + tax rate / 100) and stored; the gross price itself is not stored. The tax rate is the rate of the tax class of the item in the country of the company, for a consumer in that country. An item without a tax class of its own is taxed with the default tax class. A rate of 0 percent is a valid rate. Use it when a user enters the gross price. To change the tax class and keep the gross price, change the tax class of the item first and then send the gross price again. The change has the same effects as changing the net sales price: customer group prices that are a percentage of the standard price follow, the item is sent to the sales channels again, and the item change workflow event is raised. The response carries what was stored and the tax rate that was used. Errors: PRICE_OUT_OF_RANGE (the gross price is negative or larger than 999999999999, as validation error); ITEM_NOT_FOUND (no item has this ID); ITEM_KIND_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_SUB_RESOURCE (the item kind has no prices); COMPANY_NOT_FOUND, COMPANY_INACTIVE (see 'companyId'); DEFAULT_TAX_CLASS_NOT_FOUND (the item has no tax class of its own and there is no default tax class); TAX_ZONE_NOT_FOUND_FOR_DESTINATION (no tax zone of the company contains its own country); TAX_RATE_NOT_FOUND_FOR_TAX_CLASS (the tax zone has no rate for the tax class). - Request

## Fields

**`itemId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the item.

**`companyId`**: `ID`

The company whose country determines the tax rate. Omitted means the first active company (the active company with the lowest ID). An unknown company is answered with 422 (error code COMPANY_NOT_FOUND), an inactive company with 409 (error code COMPANY_INACTIVE). Without any active company the call is answered with 422 (error code COMPANY_NOT_FOUND).

**`salesPriceGross`**: `Decimal!` (required)

The gross sales price to set. At least 0 and at most 999999999999; 0 removes the price. Any number of decimal places is accepted; the stored net price keeps 13.

**`disableAutomaticWorkflows`**: `Boolean`

Suppresses the automatic workflow triggers of this call. Defaults to false when omitted.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
