# UpdateNumberRangeCommandRequestInput

> Changes prefix, suffix or counter of a number range, the global range of a type as well as the range of a company. Fields that are omitted stay as they are; changing the prefix does not touch the counter. The counter may be set to any value in range, also lower than it is, for example to start again at 1 in a new year; numbers that documents already have are skipped when numbers are issued. Type and company cannot change; delete the range and create another one instead. Error codes: NUMBER_RANGE_NOT_FOUND, NUMBER_RANGE_PATTERN_INVALID, NUMBER_RANGE_COUNTER_INVALID, NUMBER_RANGE_TOO_LONG. GraphQL only. - Request

## Fields

**`numberRangeId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the number range.

**`prefix`**: `String`

The new prefix, empty for none, at most 20 characters. Prefix and suffix may contain the date tokens '<J>' (year, four digits), '<M>' (month, two digits), '<T>' (day, two digits) and '<K>' (ISO calendar week, two digits). The tokens are upper case; the system replaces them with the date of issue when it issues a number. Lower case tokens are not replaced and are rejected.

The new suffix, empty for none, at most 20 characters.

**`nextCounter`**: `Int`

The new counter, 0 to 2147483646.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
