# UpdateOperationCommandRequestInput

> Changes an operation. Only the properties that are sent change. The steps are changed with the commands for operation steps. Errors: the request is invalid; OperationNotFound (the operation was not found); OperationNumberAlreadyExists (another operation already has this operation number). - Request

## Fields

**`operationId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the operation to change.

**`operationNumber`**: `String`

The new number of the operation. Must be unique across all operations and must not consist of white space only.

**`name`**: `String`

The new name of the operation. Must not consist of white space only.

---

**`description`**: `String`

The new description of the operation. Sending null or a value that consists of white space only removes the description.

---

**`isActive`**: `Boolean`

Indicates whether the operation is active.

---

**`isCompletionMandatory`**: `Boolean`

Indicates whether the operation must be completed explicitly during production.

---

**`simplifiedProduction`**: `OperationSimplifiedProduction`

Indicates whether and for whom the operation allows simplified production.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
