# UpdatePaymentMethodCommandRequestInput

> Changes the settings of a payment method. Only the properties that are sent change. Whether it is active or the default is changed with the actions, not here. 'name' changes the name in the default language, like the translation of that language. Documents keep the name they were printed with. - Request

## Fields

**`paymentMethodId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the payment method.

**`name`**: `String`

The new name in the default language, at most 255 characters. It must be unique among the payment methods, ignoring case.

---

**`generalLedgerAccount`**: `String`

The G/L account, at most 32 characters. An empty text removes it.

---

**`supportsDirectDebit`**: `Boolean`

Whether the amount can be collected by direct debit.

---

**`canShipBeforePayment`**: `Boolean`

Whether an order can be shipped before the payment arrived. A change applies to open orders with this payment method.

**`isDunningEnabled`**: `Boolean`

Whether open invoices paid with this method are dunned.

---

**`cashDiscount`**: `PaymentMethodCashDiscountInput`

The cash discount for early payment. It is replaced as a whole; null removes it.

**`ebayPaymentOption`**: `String`

The eBay payment option. An empty text removes it.

---

**`reservationPriority`**: `Int`

The priority for first in, first out reservation, 0 to 255.

---

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
