# UpdateStorageLocationCommandRequestInput

> Changes a storage location. Only the properties that are sent change. The type can only be changed between shelf, quarantine, pallet, retail, carton, bulk storage and transfer; the locations the system or a process needs keep their type. Status and the lock for the available stock are changed with their own mutations. errorCode is one of: STORAGE_LOCATION_NAME_INVALID (the request is invalid); WAREHOUSE_NOT_FOUND or STORAGE_LOCATION_NOT_FOUND (the warehouse or the storage location was not found); WAREHOUSE_TYPE_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_STORAGE_LOCATIONS (the warehouse has no storage locations: only warehouses with storage location management have them); STORAGE_LOCATION_TYPE_CHANGE_NOT_ALLOWED, STORAGE_LOCATION_IS_SYSTEM_LOCATION, STORAGE_LOCATION_INVENTORY_LOCKED, STORAGE_LOCATION_NAME_NOT_UNIQUE (the change is refused). - Request

## Fields

**`warehouseId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the warehouse.

**`storageLocationId`**: `ID!` (required)

The ID of the storage location.

**`name`**: `String`

The new name, at most 50 characters, without an apostrophe.

**`comment`**: `String`

The new comment.

---

**`locationTypeId`**: `UUID`

The ID of the new type.

---

**`priority`**: `Int`

The new priority.

---

**`sortNumber`**: `Int`

The new sort number.

---

**`dimensions`**: `StorageLocationDimensionsInput`

The new size and load capacity. They replace the old ones as a whole: a property of the object that is not sent has no value or limit afterwards. Omit Dimensions to leave all four unchanged.

**`idempotencyKey`**: `String`

Client-supplied idempotency key. When provided, a repeated request with the same key and payload replays the original result instead of re-executing the mutation.
