The kind of a line item. A client treats a value it does not know as ‘Other’.

ITEM
An item from the catalog, billed in every period of its schedule.
CUSTOM
A free line without an item, billed in every period of its schedule.
VOUCHER
A voucher sold in every period of its schedule.
CHARGE
A charge such as shipping or a fee. It has no schedule and is part of every follow-up sales order.
DISCOUNT
A discount such as a coupon. It has no schedule and is part of every follow-up sales order.
OTHER
A line item that cannot be written through the API, for example a carton. It is not part of follow-up sales orders.
