Characteristic
A characteristic: a property such as material or colour with which items are described. A characteristic has a list of values; items are assigned one or more of them. The characteristic carries its name per language, how it behaves and is presented, and the groups it belongs to.

The ID of the characteristic.
The names per language. The name in the default language is always present.
How the values are presented to customers in the online shop: TEXT, SELECT_BOX, IMAGE or IMAGE_AND_TEXT. It changes how the values are shown, not which fields exist. The list can grow with the shops; a client treats a value it does not know like TEXT. An empty or unknown stored value is read as TEXT.
Indicates that several values of the characteristic can be assigned to one item. Online shops offer several selections in the filter navigation.
Indicates that the characteristic is shown to customers in the online shop.
Indicates that the characteristic is transferred to eBay as an item specific.
The position of the characteristic among all characteristics in a custom order, counted from 1. Null means there is no custom order and the entries are sorted alphabetically by their name in the default language. Set a custom order with the order operations; the API does not accept single positions.
The image of the characteristic, shown when the display type includes images. Absent when it has none.
The characteristic groups the characteristic belongs to. A characteristic can belong to several groups.
The number of values of the characteristic.
The number of items that have at least one value of the characteristic.
