Makes an item a packaging item, or, when it already is of this kind, replaces the values that belong to the kind. A regular item. Every other kind has to be turned back into a regular item first by ‘PUT items//regular’. The request carries exactly the fields the kind has as mandatory or optional; nothing is carried over implicitly from the old kind, and the common fields of the item stay as they are.
